File Sharing is a practice. File sharing is a practice of making computer files available to different users, all using the same network. File sharing can also be termed as sharing of computer data among other users. This process of file sharing may either be public or private file sharing. File sharing can also be with sharing space for data storage in a particular network. This can be shared with different levels of accessibility advantages to different users.
File sharing can also be done outside a network, on an offline basis, such as, physically handing over the data stored on a diskette or sending it by post. But File sharing in general implies to online file sharing, over a network. This network may be small, local area or private, it does not make any difference. File sharing implies to the term of many people able to use the same file. They all should be able to read and view the file, even by using a combination. The users should be able to modify the files or be able to write on the files. They should also be able to copy the files or be able to take out print outs of the files.
